"I met Portrait XO during the Factory Berlin x Sónar+D x Beats by Dr.Dre Artist in Residence program and was inspired by her take on AI driven music and experiments with the human voice. When asked if I wanted to contribute a remix of one of the tracks off WIRE I picked PLASTIC SKIN as it immediately resonated with me. I decided to retain the original track's narrative and focus more on processing and layering sounds through a modular system rather than drifting too far away from the well balanced source material. The remix draws various aspects of leftfield electronic music to present a hybrid club vision of the co-creation of human / machine relations." - Einar
